Starting a blog has been in my mind for a long time now. In fact, this isn't even the first blog I've ever had! But for some reason, it felt daunting this time around. But man was I wrong! Technology has changed a lot and starting a professional looking blog is easier than ever with the tools available now.
Without further adieu, I present to you my newest baby: Marite Does It.
What will you find here? Well, to begin with, DIY tutorials. After leaving my job to be a stay at home mom in 2017, I felt fulfillment as a mom but I also felt a little bit of an identity crisis. Until power tools entered my life. I learned how to use a saw on father's day 2020 and the rest is history. Or should I say, "the rest is DIY".
Then came social media growth. I started posting my tutorials on Pinterest and Instagram simultaneously, but something about the Pinterest world just clicked for me (pun totally intended). I started researching, playing with the tools available, and testing new things. And lo and behold, things started moving along, my account started growing, and my confidence skyrocketed. I got invited to be a part of Pinterest's creator residency and with a now audience of 24K followers, I feel the conviction to tell you that there's space for everyone! And whether you're just starting or have been on social media for a while, there's always room for growth and improvement.
